DigitAuth is a centralized authentication system, designed by Wervyn and MZXGiant in late
2007. Its aim is to link all services in the MegaZeux community to one authentication server,
such that users can authenticate once to use all services that support it. This allows for
DigitalMZX services to expand and encompass more of the community needs, while still allowing
external services to use its massive database of user information in a secure manner.
Any user who wants to be a part of the community can sign up and will be instantly granted
access to all services that support the DigitAuth API. As for services, any service that wishes
to "subscribe" to the user database can do so. All requests to this system are encrypted and all
data is secure. Even servers using the DigitAuth service cannot simply download a list of
passwords from the central database. All requests are controlled and logged.
